It's very wrong on at least my a500, causes a crash with the 2.4 kernel
after base install. See bug #282814. The de4x5 module's probably not
availale in the d-i initrd at all, which is why it gave you the list.

Did the system you installed with 2.6 boot up ok? Was de4x5 loaded by
discover then, or is the module not available for 2.6 at all?
