Do I need to build my own > netinst image, and if so, how do I do that? Last wednesday I did spend with installing on a Dell SC420. The great trick was using a 2.6 kernel. They are available for debian-installer (I used the netboot images ( no rebuild needed )) and do provide the ata_piix module.
