Bug#279134: Obscure error from main-menu after grub-installer has run

During a test installation I noticed a weird error flashing by in VT4.
Here is the relevant section from /var/log/syslog.

The problem is in the last three lines.
This was during an i386 netinst (20041029) installation. I will try to
trace the cause of the error later.
