As briefly mentioned on IRC, I apologize for this. Kostas showed me
the diff and I remember I said "it is OK" even though I should
immediately have seen that:

-LANG does not exist in languagechooser : I have no excuse for this. I
 work daily with this package and with localechooser and I *know*
 that. Certainly more than Kostas and yourself...:-(

-No information about country exists at this stage

So, Joey, please accept my public apologies for the extra work you got
with this.

The only minimal excuse we have is that testing such changes involves
a full install which is often a long task to achieve, especially when
you have some paid work in the same time..:-)
