My PC (Athlon 500 Mhz, ATI Rage 128 grphics card (5 years old), Philips Monitor) expierenced identical installation problems with current Debian Sarge Test Candidates.

Install reports were filed as #274725 and #256935.

As with Knoppix or Red Hat no such problems occured, I guess it is a Debian specific ATI driver issue.

- It might help, if other people could report their install expierince with those ATI grphcis cards.
- Had anyone been working on that issue?
