Re: Bug#275552: Package: installation-reports

Despite setting the monitor resolution to 1024x760 @ 75Mhz durring the
installation configuration, when I log in, it appears to be set to
@ 75Mhz. The Gnome "Screen Resolution Preferences" window does not allow
me to set my screen resolution to 1024x760 @ 75Mhz. I can only choose
between 800x768 and 640x480.
Hope this helps.

My PC (Athlon 500 Mhz, ATI Rage 128 grphics card (5 years old), Philips
Monitor) expierenced identical installation problems with current Debian
Sarge Test Candidates.

Install reports were filed as #274725 and #256935.

As with Knoppix or Red Hat no such problems occured, I guess it is a
Debian specific ATI driver issue.

- It might help, if other people could report their install expierince
with those ATI grphcis cards.
- Had anyone been working on that issue?
