Hmmm. It looks to me that the system hangs as soon as it tries to really 
access your CD-drive. Maybe some module conflict with your hardware.

All modules mentioned in the message above are to be expected and so that 
warning can be ignored.

It sounds as if you are using expert mode... Do you really need to enter 
module parameters anywhere? If not, maybe booting with 'linux(26) 
debconf/priority=medium' would be easier.

What I think you could try to solve the module conflict is the following:
- - proceed until you get the screen asking which modules to load;
- - deselect all modules you know you don't need, keeping only the ones
  correct for your hardware;
- - check if the hanging disapears

You may have to try this a few times using different modules (including 
generic ones).

Once you have found which combination _does_ work, we would be very interested 
which (combination of) module(s) causes the hang... That would mean more 
trial and error but is needed to get a fix.

I have one request for you.
Could you please file a full installation-report to our Bug Tracking System 
including a summarry of this thread so far? That will make it easier for us 
to keep track of the problem. See [1] for instructions.
