Comments/Problems: The new installer is very easy to use and very slick!
It is a huge improvement
over previous renditions. There would only be a couple of very tiny
things I would suggest as
possible improvements:

1 - It would be nice to have an option during install, after the network
hardware is up and working
to select an IP address even if DHCP configuration worked for this
portion of the install.
2 - During initial install, if TaskSel is used, an option to allow me to
open the "tasks" to
individually configure the packages under each task, as well as change
to whether the packages
    are marked upgradable.
3 - Is ther a possibility to add in (I'm pretty sure this was a Corel or
Caldera thing) a way to
allow the configuration of kernel modules before the second reboot
during the install? That
would make it easier to configure some of the "stranger" devices and
kernel modules and a few
of the more commone ones like sound. Maybe make it an optional item
on the menu that is
    normally skipped?

Biggest thing I can say is I am amazed how far you have come in such a
short time with this installer!
Maybe as I get to learn the systems better, I can contribute more than
just suggestions, but it's been
a long time since I took my university course "C and Unix Programming," so
I'm more than just a little
rusty. I spend my time as a infrastructure systems analyst and that's the
viewpoint I'm writing from.
Regretably most of my coding time is writing shell scripts in VBScript
(yes, I am a masochist, but
only because my job forces me into it) and REXX. Hopefully I'll get
enough time to try to knock the
dust off of my shell scripting docs sometime soon.

Install logs and other status info is available in
/var/log/debian-installer/. - let me know if you
want any of them.

Once you have filled out this report, mail it to submit@bugs.debian.org.
