Tested (and update filed earlier) with a more recent version - same
result. New install tried using 20040923 netinst.iso - now fails during
LILO install. Tried earlier image again, it too now makes it through to
LILO before failing. (Grub hangs at 50%, as warning stated.) Difference
seems to be that CD is on primary channel (hda) instead of secondary
channel (hdc). More tonight when I can test again.

Nope. Used defaults for everything but the 'manual' partition & RAID 1
setup. No shell access needed, no changes to grub files.

Will post various logs later tonight. Unable to save log to floppy (menu
entry) using either a disk formatted with Win98 or with fdformat from
another Debian box.
