Method: boot from the floppy (smart boot manager from the installer CD),
        network install from a local home network connected to the 
        Internet via a Debain/Linux box, no proxy

Machine: PC (a very old one)
Processor: Pentium-S CP 120MHz
Memory: 64MB

Comments/Problems:

* installer failed to detect 3Com Etherlink III card (as the hardware
  was really a very old one I am sure this is not a bug)

* I wasn't able to set the ReiserFS file-system for the root partition
  (I made about 3-4 tries, each time starting the installation from the
  very beginning). It seems that when selecting ReiserFS Installer
  failed to set the / mounting point (ending with message: No root
  file-system is defined). Finally I had to choose ext3 to be able to
  finish the installation

  A note: recently I used an older version of the installer for my
  Dell notebook (and two other notebooks) and there were no problems
  with setting reiserfs for the root partition.

* A personal comment: the Debian-Installer is really a pleasure to work with
