Bug#269036: Sarge: debian-installer partitioning failure
Update:
I have now fixed the partition table with fdisk using a Knoppix CD. I did not format the partition intended for Debian, though. SuSE Linux and Win XP which reside on the same disk still work well, and SuSE recognizes the partition table as it should be.
But, the partition table is still not found in the partitioner. I have then started the shell from the installer and issued fdisk -l /dev/hda, with no output nor error message. So apparently the installer boot from /dev/hda3 works, the CD image on /dev/hda3 is found, but the partition table for /dev/hda is not detected.
What can I do to work around this?
