d-i installation report
Hi,
I did a full Debian installation today using d-i rc1 (I think it was).
I wanted an encrypted system, hence I had to set up a bootstrap system
first, installed the real system from there using debootstrap, and
made the bootstrap system swap space thereafter. Some annotations:
1. The whole thing went very well. Congratulations and thank you very
much!
2. I was missing the command-line fdisk for partitioning. Maybe there
was one, but I didn't found it. Thus I did the partitioning before the
installation using my rescue CD.
3. I had internet access only over a proxy. There was no possibility
to specify one. I had to stop after editing sources.list and to open a
shell for setting http_proxy, then I could run apt/dselect again.
That's it. Nothing more to complain about.
Kind regards,
Martin
