Comments/Problems:

I had 12gb or so at the end of my hard drive. I chose the guided installation and the free space option. The partitions seemed to be created and formatted fine. After
the partitions were formatted debian gave an error saying the boot partition could not
be found and yaboot would not work properly. The rest of the installation proceeded normally until the Install boot loader part and it gave an error. I was not able to boot into debian.
