The ICH5 is supported by the ata_piix driver which is included in current builds of the installer, though perhaps not beta4, and only if you boot into the 2.6 kernel with "linux26". If it is not automatically loaded by a current build then please write back with the lspci and lspci -n information that you left out of your installation report, so we can add it to the PCI id database. -- see shy jo
