The change that has been made affects only the "sid" target, which is not used by d-i when installing sarge. However, this change was enough to introduce a bug in the sid target, because libgcrypt11 was not added when libgnutls11 was. It is still true that before these changes are relevant to the sarge release, libgnutls11 must make it into sarge and debootstrap must again be updated. > libgcrypt7 has the same "Upstream asks us not to distribute this > unsupported and buggy crud in Sarge PLEASE" problem that gnutls10 has. > In addition, gnutls11 depends on opencdk8 which still depends on > gcrypt7. Obviously I can't change that before gcrypt11 is installed by > debootstrap. Because libgcrypt11 is available in sarge already, I've made this change in an NMU of debootstrap, so you should be able to upload opencdk8 with the new dependency without breaking anything. This NMU also fixes today's brokenness with installing sid. -- Steve Langasek postmodern programmer
