Mmm, there's been progress on sshing into d-i but a lot of complexity is
involved and I wouldn't like to vouch for it all working properly yet.
I'm afraid you'll probably have to type it in on tty2.

For the meantime, though, I'm reasonably confident that my change at
least won't break anything, so I've checked it into hw-detect. Once I've
booted with that I'll upload it.
