Well, apparently my dhcp server is giving the hostname of
59:69:67:72:32:35:0, which is definitively not a valid hostname, and
netcfg informs us of such when i type enter.

netcfg should maybe check for the validity of the hostname obtained by
dhcp before proposing it to the user. it is doing the check anyway when
you chose it, so maybe it should be done at first directly.

Also, it would be great if there was some discreet user feedback to
inform that this hostname comes from the DHCP server. Maybe a little
discreet DHCP chain added somewhere in the dialog ?

Friendly,

Sven Luther
