(This was the Suse installation I used to download and burn the image. Once installed, the
uname -a: Linux debian 2.4.25-1-386 #2 Wed Apr 14 19:38:08 EST 2004 i686 GNU/Linux)
Date: Friday, July 9, 2004, at about 4pm EST.
Method: Installation was done under VMWare 4.5.2 build 8848. I used the Netinst CD
for i386 from the site above. I did not use a proxy.
Machine: Dell Precision Workstation 220
Processor: Dual 860 Mhz Pentium III
Memory: 256MB
Root Device: I allowed a logical volume for VMWare to place it's data. Under the covers, VMWare
created a virtual BusLogic BT-958 controller and virtual devices under it.
Root Size/partition table: Here's the /etc/fstab as created by the installer:

Comments/Problems:
It took a while to get used to the partition system. Once I figured it out, it
was pretty straight forward. My only concern is that I was unable to determine
how to set up logical volumes and place my data on them. Under Red Hat and SuSE,
I've set up /boot as an ext3 partition, and the rest of the system under logical
volumes. Since Debian doesn't use /boot as a separate partition with the kernel
in it, I was just wondering how to do the same using the new installer.
All in all, I like it a LOT! It'll be killer when the final release comes out!
