Package: partman Severity: normal Tags: d-i partman does not always clear data like mount points when a partition is deleted-re-added, and marked as swap. I experienced this on a system that had been previously autopartitioned with partman, the third partiton was previously marked as swap. I accidentially told partman to use it for an ext3 root filesystem, noticed my mistake, and deleted that partitoon and the secod one, then autopartitioned free space. (This resulted in exactly the same partitoion layout as before, BTW) Then I finished partman, and it complained that the second and third partitoin were both mountpoints for / . I went in and looked at partiton #3, and it was marked to be used as swap, filesystem ext3, mount point / ! I manually reset the type to swap, and things cleared up. I assume that partman needs to do a better job of clearing state in this situation. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US -- see shy jo
