Two new failure sequences: - boot from boot.img - load root.img - load drivers from cd-drivers.img (since I want to detect my CD-ROM, this seems most reasonable) - fail to detect CD-ROM (as in previous report) - load drivers from net-drivers.img - PCMCIA hardware starts; CD drive powers up - refuse questions about network hardware - request to detect CD-ROM again - fail to detect CD-ROM - (unknown steps; sorry) - debian-installer fails to load vga256 framebuffer driver - keeps dying and being restarted from init - reboot, end install attempt. Next attempt: - boot from boot.img - load root.img - load drivers from net-drivers.img - PCMCIA hardware starts; CD drive powers up - refuse questions about network hardware - load drivers from cd-drivers.img - fail to detect CD-ROM - reboot, end install attempt. -- \ "Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a | `\ feature." -- Rich Kulawiec | _o__) | Ben Finney <ben@benfinney.id.au>
