Damn, I can reproduce this. 100%  The problem is that partman-lvm
_does_ use a new feature of partman (unlike I indicated), but that
version of partman is not in testing.

Joey: is there a good reason for not moving partman to testing.  It
seems at least you and me did some (basic) tests.  If you don't want
to move partman to testing, I'll upload a new partman-lvm reverting
the change which uses the new feature of partman.
