Attached are dmesg from knoppix 3.3 and d-i beta4; I think knoppix 3.3
and 3.4 both use kernel 2.4 as default kernels.

I'm personally quite happy with one stable release every two years, and
am of the opinion that trying to release more will mean we'll have to
rename the distro from "stable" to "wobbly".
