Bug#249355: cpqarray module is not loaded during install (before partitioning) despite being recognized correctly
Package: debian-installer
Severity: normal
LS,
When installing Debian 3.0 using the debian installer-based floppies on
an old Compaq server, the Compaq RAID controller was recognized, but the
kernel module supporting it wasn't loaded by the installer.
As workaround I switched to another console and did a 'modprobe cpqarray',
but since the controller was on the list of devices found (in expert mode
at least), I would have expected the kernel module to be loaded automatically.
