Bug#246398: locales: LC_CTYPE defaults to non-installed en_US.UTF8

Hmmm. This combination sets debian-installer/locale to en_US alone in
languagechooser/countrychooser.
So, I think that ".UTF8" which comes after originates in base-config
probably. This is where the debian-installer debconf choices are used
again for locales-related stuff.
Denis, do you have an idea about this bug?
This again raises the problem of not having a choice for POSIX locales
in languagechooser. We should maybe add a default "English (POSIX
locales)" choice while keeping "English (United States)" as another
choice.
Joey, this is a d-i design choice, so I think your advice is welcome
here (sorry for adding again some pressure on your tired
shoulders...:-)))
