This installation report is incorrect. See bug #245898 for a description of the current cdrom mount points and what is in fstab. Nothing in d-i knows about or uses /media. It does look like this will avoid breaking anything for mount points, since d-i does create the mount points when setting up the fstab. -- see shy jo
