Hmm, getting to the hw autodetect-phase and specifically, modprobing ide-cd
seems to work - the partition table is being read then (and correctly). I can
mount my on-disk ext2 partition from a shell then.
The tulip network driver seems to be broken, due to unresolved symbols:
