netboot image - sarge - sparc64
hi folks,
i had no luck in booting usparcII systems (e250,e450,small sparc station)
with the provided boot.img. the kernel quits booting with the message:
the bootimage is:
http://ftp.at.debian.org/debian/dists/sarge/main/installer-sparc/current/images/sparc64/netboot/boot.img
here is some snipplets from the cosnole output:
Warning: unable to open an initial console.
Unimplemented SPARC system call 188
Unimplemented SPARC system call 188
Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
Press L1-A to return to the boot prom
well. the woody netboot just works fine...upgrading to sarge leads to a
halfusable system when rebooted (root fs ro mounted, some daemons not starting)
but thats all easy to fix. so thats the (icky) way i install sarge on sparcs now.
what do i have to change on the boot.img to get sarge up and running
from the start ?
thanks for any hints
gerald
