That seems to be due to an ill-considered recent copying of woody's lilo.conf into the lilo installer. Fixed. However, it has nothing to do with the problem I reported. if [ ! -f /etc/lilo.conf ]; then isfresh=1 db_text high lilo/new-config || true db_go fi This is the debconf note that is unconditionally, and pointlessly displayed when lilo is installed. Perhaps we should write lilo.conf before apt-installing lilo? -- see shy jo
