netboot installations on i386

Hi,

I did lots of successfull netboot installations on last weekend
and the weekend before while setting up a netboot environment.
Some were not successfull, but the glitches were temporary.

Today, I successfully installed testing and unstable from
http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/testing/main/installer-i386/current/images/
on this system:
Cyrix-686 (166 MHz) on Intel HX chipset, 96MB
Tekram DC-390F SCSI controller (Symbios ,
1GB SCSI Harddisk, 500MB IDE Harddisk, no CD-ROM,
Intel EEPro100 w. PXE boot rom

I only used the SCSI disk (fully automatic partitioning),
and everything went fine.

On the third try, I partitioned manually, setting up
90 MB ext2 for /boot and 900 MB xfs for / on the SCSI disk
(done that before successfully, but with swap also on SCSI,
and different vmlinuz and initrd) and swap on the IDE disk.
Installing unstable failed when trying to install PCMCIA
(this system got no PCMCIA).

This is the tail of /var/log/messages;
