Comments/Problems:

I'm belgian, speaking french and using a belgian keyboard.
I launched the installer from the cd, the normal way (without specifying any option).
It launched perfectly ;-), seemed to detect the hardware very well.
I've choosen my language and keyboard , but when I had to format my partition, with cfdisk, this one had problems with special characters, such as accents , "ç" and so on.

An english version of cfdisk showhs those options :

#########################################################

   [Bootable] [ Delete ] [ Help ] [Maximize]
   [ Print ] [ Quit ] [ Type ] [ Units ]

#########################################################

But in french, Bootable is translated amorçable , and this word needs a special character

so the output was [amor ], and sometinmes the option was empty, like [] .

I think there is (was ) a problem with the encoding of the characters (UTF-8 or anything like that).

Of course this is not a critical bug, but for thos who will "discover" Debian , in french , this may be annoying.

I hope that fixing this bug will not take too much time, and that the stable version of the sarge will be released soon.

Thanks for your report. We have just released new beta3 release of
our installer where instead of cfdisk we use by default another
partitioner. Cfdisk is still there but unfortunately we haven't had
time to fix the problem with non-ASCII symbols in its interface.
Thats why for now (I hope not for a long time) cfdisk will work in
english.
