Package: partman Severity: wishlist Tags: d-i If I create a new partition, its settings default to "do not use", not bootable, not mounted, no filesystem type. These are not good defaults and mean a lot of work to get a usable setup. What I'd like to see is partman default to making an ext3 partition, defaulting to mounting it on the next unused mount point (/ then /home then /usr, etc). The root partition should automatically be made bootable. -- System Information: Found unknown policy: ('1', 'pool')Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.25 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US -- see shy jo
