The entry in /usr/share/discover/pci-vendor.xml for model_name='Prism
2.5 Wavelan chipset' uses the incorrect orinoco_pci module; the correct
module should be prism2_pci, which is provided by the linux-wlan-ng
package's modules. (That is, at least on my laptop, orinoco_pci doesn't
work, and prism2_pci does.)
