Bug#230442: FWD: Bug#228271: INSTALL REPORT - d-i Beta 2: Broken "stable" installation over net
I'd like to just say that I have also experienced this bug. I am trying to
install on a Compaq ProLiant 1600R, and it has a SmartArray 221 controller.
All the hardware seems to be correctly detected, and all goes well up to the
"Configure and Mount Partitions" step. I just keep getting kicked back to
that step, which doesn't seem to do anything.
I tried manually mounting /dev/ida/disc0/part1 on /target, but then I am stuck
at "Install base system.
I can work around by allowing the installer to automatically partition, but
that wipes out the Compaq configuration partition, which is not my
preference.
