using beta 2 install on oldworld powermac

Hello,
this is my second try to install sarge on my PowerMac 7200/120, this time
I went further, but still can't have a successful install:
my machine:
PowerMac 7200/120 (oldworld, PPC 601@120Mhz)
160M RAM
2 SCSI drives: 500M (Mac OS & BootX), 4.3G (Linux)
Radeon 7000 ME on PCI slot 1
USB 1.1 Card on PCI slot 3
I copied the vmlinux kernel and root.bin ramdisk from the business card
image.
These where my kernel parameters:
devfs=mount;init=/dev/ram;video=radeon:1024x768-24@85
I left the video options on BootX unset.
After choosing the initial settings in the installer, it tried to detect
the network using DHCP, but at that time I didn't have DHCP activated, so
it failed, no option for setting it manually, after a few other problems
because of this, I rebooted the machine, activated DHCP on my router and
the installer detected the network just fine.
Everything went smooth from here, until it tried to install yaboot, wich
won't work on oldworld powermacs, I tried to skip that step, but I wasn't
allowed. Finally I decided to reboot the machine from the other terminal.
After setting BootX to boot from the hard disk, I had problems with the
video, so this are my kernel parameters right now:
video=radeon
Now, I'm presented with the login prompt, but I can't login because I
haven't set the password for root and I haven't created another account...
The installer didn't finish it process... :(
is there a way to finish it? I mean, what does the installer do after the
first boot? I think that if I boot in single mode I'll be able to finish
the install...

salud! (cheers!)
