Package: netcfg
Version: N/A, sorry. From netinstall CD 18 Apr 2003
Severity: grave

I hope it is ok to file this bug against the netcfg package, I was
told by Petter Reinholdtsen to file it against busybox or netcfg.

Current busybox (as included on testing CD images) only contains
ip, not ifconfig/route, although the configuration process still
uses the old commands. This makes configuring Interfaces hard, if
not impossible.

Tried with official netinstall CD images from
http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/netinst/
The images were dated Apr18.

Thanks for reading this bug and sorry if I filed it against
the wrong package. It is very severe, however.

/ralph

Has been fixed in 26apr03 images by including ifconfig and route
in busybox, which works fine for me!

Thanks for trying to keep testing in an installable state!
