Please don't. Keep the default standard 101-US on archs for which this
is the most common keyboard.

Most localized keyboards have more keys than the US one, and if you have
a US keyboard and a non-US default setting, you may find yourself unable
to generate even basic characters.

Eg. it is almost impossible to enter punctuation characters on an
American keyboard if software believes the keyboard type is Dutch.

Some software does this (make assumptions about keyboard types) and I
always found it a horrible obnoxious feature.

I think having US-101 as default will generally cause less irritation
than any other default if it's wrong.
