Comments/Problems:
trying the swiss german installation:
- not all translations well done, screens are mixed german/ english
- if you make mistakes during the installation => error message => you arrive
back at the english installation after comitting the error msg
- was trying also the english installation. not shure, but i think have seen in
the english part screens which don't appear in the german part (selecting
kernel, overview about installation status (list what is done and what is next)
don't appear in the german part as much as in the english part)
- network configuration: have a external dsl router connected by tcp/ip to my
computer. did not found guided installation of network parameters (address,
gateway....). => no internet installation possible,
=> solution: before ftp: downloads for apt, configure and start network
manually => but after reboot network has to be restartet again, or change
manually init.d
- from 4 installations i arrived once at a x-window system. was never able to
install and configure kde, gnome. but have seen downloads for this system
during system installation (e.g gnome manual, kde wallpapers) so files must be
available.
had also a message after tasksel about installing over 600M of files, that
could not be only linux base system i think.
now the good thing
on other installers there was some problems with my hardware, e.g. network card
and soundcard. as i have seen hardware was detected well, all modules was
there.
