I like "corrupt" better with "be". Alternatively, "may have been corrupted".

The only problem is if you move CD-ROM to the left, it now
has to be possessive: CD-ROM's integrity?

Probably better: Check the integrity of another CD-ROM?

good idea to drop integrity, because of the possessive issue.
