Worked fine on i386 for me with my images. Let me see:

build% grep busybox pkg-lists/initrd-cdrom-udebs/*
pkg-lists/initrd-cdrom-udebs/common:busybox-cvs-udeb

No busybox-udeb on it can't fail. Guess that explains that.
