Bug#194839: [ppc] bootfloppy kernel is buggy with onboard NCR53c810

Package:	boot-floppies
Distribution:	woody
Serverity:	important

Hi!

The current ppc boot kernel doesn't work for PROP IBM 830 machines.
After detecting a NCR53c810, it cycles getting timeouts. This basically
leads to an endless loop and no working installations.

At least for this machine, I cured the installation by compiling current
2.4.21-rc3 with the sym53c8xx_v2 driver with "traditional" I/O (not
memory-mapped I/O) activated. This worked fine for me.

So I suggest to also build the sym_2 module (with non-mm'ed I/O) to get
floppies working on this machine (I think it's one of the more common
machines, of course after current PPC MACs...).
