I understand that.

| dbootstrap_settings was convienent. I hope that for debian-installer a
| better means of communication with base-config can be set up; like just
| copying over the cdebconf database so I can use some of the answers
| given during the first-stage installation.

it will copy those over -- this is just a band-aid; else we've had
reports that base-config loops.  I'll get the debconf integration into
place, probably using debconf-copydb or similar.
