| Package: boot-floppies Version: 3.0 flavor: vanilla architecture: i386 model Compaq Contura 4/25 memory: 20mb scsi: none cd-rom: none network card: none pcmcia: none This system has a 4.0 gb Simple Technology
(Fujitsu) hard disk using EZ-BIOS from Micro House International. When I try to install from the floppy disks but I
get: Partition check: [592/255/63] which is wrong.
Should be 629/240/63, which comes up right in the hard disk boot Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual
address 0002c877 followed by many more lines of
addresses. I can't seem to see what the memory check is saying
so perhaps I would need to specify the amount of memory.  I noticed after
this that in Windows for some reason I'm showing only 16mb of memory even though
I have 20mb installed. When I boot from the hard disk I get: request_module [block-major-58]: Root fs is not
mountedVFS: cannot open root device 3a:05 Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
