Which default kernel with d-i?

I believe the default kernel for d-i should be 2.4.x. That way the HW
detection tables can be automatically generated from the modules
themselves. (Check package hotplug if this is new to you. :-)
The Skolelinux project is using 2.4.x with d-i at the moment. I'm not
aware of anyone testing d-i using 2.2.x.
