Bug#140264: i386 idepci 1.44 rescue floppy doesn't rescue
Package: boot-floppies
Version: 3.0.21
Version 3.0.21-2002-03-19 of the i386 IDEPCI rescue floppy seems to have a
problem in the SYSLINUX configuration. It doesn't accept other boot
targets than the default one, which means that it won't accept a "rescue
root=/dev/xyz" parameter. Workaround is to use "linux.bin root=/dev/xyz"
instead, however then the rescue floppy is still inconsistent with its
documentation.
5ce4481f2032be4dad00d09425f7101d rescue.bin
used on an off-the-shelf Asus P2B with standard 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive.
