I did it with joey together. We were on the computer days in Hamburg
from thursday to sunday.
Yesterday, there was one interested in installing debian and we said,
ok, come to us with your computer and we will install together.

But we failed with several mirrors with the same error, the malformed
Release file. We tried the http.us.d.o, ftp.de.d.o, ftp2.de.d.o,
ftp.se.d.o etc etc ... allways the same. :(

The I looked into my debian-boot mailbox and found out, that there might
be patch, that removes $m/dists/$SUITE/Release, but it did not work.

If we edited the /usr/lib/debootstrap/functions with nano-tiny, the
second shell segfaulted, so we had to reboot to try again ... :(
This happend always, after editing the /usr/lib/functions the second or
the third time.

A friend tried to install debian-woody on friday, with the same error
with ftp.uk.d.o an ftp.fi.d.o and the allready mentioned server.

At saturday, another debian-developer, amu@debian.org, tried to install
woody, he fails with the same error, but install potato and then upgrade
to woody works.

We always worked with the actuall bf's ..

And I don't have a clue why this happend.

	Cheers
