Well, I don't actually know on which package the error ocurred. So, I
cannot try GNU gzip; how can I verify all the packages downloaded. with
dpkg? (do .debs have md5sums on all its files?)

I tried the disks from ftp.fr.debian.org (official) but I'll try disks
from http://auric.debian.org/~bcollins/disks-sparc/current/

I'll let you know of my adventures.

Carlos
