I am not subscribed to the list. I think I should, at least for a while to
get to see the replies. Is an online archive of the list traffic
available? Maybe someone else addressed this problem allready.

This is a X86 Compaq Presario with USB keyboard that defeated so far all
my attempts to get a installation going past the first curses screen.
I could of course disect the machine and do the initial instalaltion on a
different platform and reimplant the harddisk after that.
