Yes I had tried the current 2.2.23 first, with almost the same results. Your
concern then was that the boot-floppies might have been corrupted. But i
think that's probably not the problem; I did successfully install using the
same 2.2.23 set on my PowerBase 180 clone and my 9500-120.

This is on a B&W G3 350 (slot-loading), MacOS 9.1, Machine ID 406, 128M
Memory (VM is on, though I woudn't think that would affect yaboot.)
