I don't really think that makes all that much sense.  Why not the
top-level README?  I mean, the directory structure is already
documented there.

I've added a few lines about that...

I repeat -- that is untrue.  The file you want is
<top-level>/idepci/drivers.tgz.

Hmm.  This file should be described in taht top-level README but it's
not.  I'll add that.

Booting into the installation system -- point (a).

Again, it's described in the top-level README.

Sure.  I don't think it's too much to ask to read the top-level
README.txt file.
