As things stand, there is no way of telling the installation procedure to overwrite it. If I wish to have lilo in the mbr, its should be boot=/dev/hda and it works this way. Such a configuration can be found later in the lilo manual: LILO alone - - - - - +----------------------------------------+ | Master Boot Record Operating system | |----------------------------------------| | LILO ---------------> Linux | | ---> other OS | +----------------------------------------+ I'm going to build a new set of bootdisks from CVS and try again.
